Meet the 2017-18 Queens
The 2016-17 Black and Gold Pageant, under the theme: Queens of Harlem Renaissance, feature thirteen of the most dynamic, devastating, talented and progressive young women at Prairie View A&M University. After six rounds fo competition, the following contestants were selected as the winners: Miss Black & Gold Eta Gamma - Nikisha Francois and Miss Black & Gold Epsilon Tau Lambda - Moriah Colbert. The First Runner-up was Olivia Johnson.
Moriah Colbert is from Gary, Indiana. She is a junior Architecture student. For her talent, Moriah speed-painted a portrait of King Tutankhamen, highlighted in Gold Glitter. She won the personal interview, and was named 2nd Runner-up in the Texas Miss Black and Old Gold Pageant. She is a member of PWAP (Panthers With A Purpose), Associated General Contractors and is a Fitness Instructor and Collegiate Scholar. Her philosophy in life is taken from Matthew 6:34 -Therefore do not worry about tomorrow.
Moriah was selected Miss Prairie View A&M University 2018-19.
