Meet the 2017-18 Contestants
The 2017-18 Black and Gold Pageant under the theme: This Magic Moment: One Enchanted Evening" featured ten of the most dynamic, devastating, talented and progressive young women at Prairie View A&M University. The pageant was held in the Opal Johnson Smith Auditorium and was an extravagant production that rivaled The Miss America Scholarship Pageant.
Bay City, Texas Sophomore: Nursing Talent: Praise Dancing Career ambition: To become a Trauma Nurse and Nurse Practitioner. Membership: Panther Advisor Leader (PALS) Dean's List-3.36 GPA. Favorites: shrimp, soul food, Taraji P. Henson, Denzel Washington PHILOSOPHY OF LIFE: “I can do all things through Christ who strengths me.”
Taylor M. Scott Houston, Texas Junior - Biology Career ambition: To become an OBGYN. Talent: Classical/Gospel Vocalist. Listed in Carnegie Hall National Honor Choir Vocalist, National Honor Choir Vocalist, National Institute of Science Honor Society.
